Hi, I’m James Purslow, founder of JP Electrical, based right here in Huddersfield.
I started this business in 2017 with one simple goal: to provide local homeowners, landlords, and businesses with a reliable, friendly, and straight-talking electrical service they can trust.
I’m a fully qualified, NICEIC-approved electrician with over 15 years of hands-on experience in both domestic and commercial settings. From full rewires and consumer unit upgrades to EV charger installations and EICRs, I personally oversee every job to ensure it meets the high standards I’m known for.
But JP Electrical isn’t just me. Alongside my wife Kate (who keeps things running behind the scenes) and our young daughter Elsie, this business is very much a family affair. We’re proud to serve the same community we live in — whether it’s a callout in Marsden, a kitchen lighting upgrade in Almondbury, or an EICR in Holmfirth.
When I’m not on the tools or replying to quotes, you’ll usually find me spending time with the family, walking the dog, or working on the van (you’ll see it around town — give us a wave 👋).
